China’s Tissue Paper Industry Witnesses Nearly 300 000 tpy of Newly‑Commissioned Capacity in H1 2026 — A Sharp Year‑On‑Year Decline According to survey data compiled by Tissue Paper & Disposable Products Magazine, approximately 299 000 tpy of modern new capacity was put into operation in China from January to June 2026, involving 13 tissue machines (12 domestic‑made units and 1 imported unit). Of the total, 162 000 tpy came on‑stream in Q1 and 137 000 tpy in Q2. The H1 2026 figure represents a substantial drop compared with the 795 000 tpy of new capacity commissioned in the same period of 2025. - 2026-09

China’s Import and Export of Tissue Paper and Hygiene Products in H1 2026 In the first half of 2026, China’s export volume of tissue paper rose year‑on‑year. Imports increased with a modest growth rate. Both export volume and value of various tissue paper products climbed compared with H1 2025. The export volume of tissue paper stood at approximately 955,200 t, rising by 22.74 % year‑on‑year; export value reached about USD 1.393 billion, a year‑on‑year increase of 14.28 %. The average export price was USD 1,458.49 per ton, down 6.89 % year‑on‑year. The total import volume of tissue paper was 24,100 t, up 7.83 % year‑on‑year. Imported products were dominated by parent roll tissue, accounting for 91.59 % of total import volume. Exports of China’s absorbent hygiene products maintained growth across product categories. Except for a slight rise in sanitary napkin imports, imports of other absorbent hygiene product categories declined. Total export volume of absorbent hygiene products reached 984,100 t, with an export value of USD 2.474 billion, increasing by 17.10 % and 12.27 % year‑on‑year respectively. The average export price was USD 2,513.61 per ton, dropping by 4.13 % compared with H1 2025. Baby diapers remained the leading export item, making up 44.19 % of total export volume. Imports of absorbent hygiene products stayed low and continued to fall, totalling merely 9,718.87 t (‑19.75 % YoY), with an import value of USD 98.7599 million. Among absorbent hygiene products, sanitary napkin imports edged up by 3.94 %, a lower growth rate than in H1 2025, while imports of all other absorbent hygiene product segments decreased. China’s wet wipe exports increased year‑on‑year whereas imports dipped slightly; exports were vastly higher than imports overall. In H1 2026, wet wipe exports amounted to 580,700 t (+24.25 % YoY), valued at USD 790 million (+16.45 % YoY). General‑purpose cleaning wet wipes reached 488,300 t, representing 84.09 % of total wet wipe exports. Wet‑wipe imports remained small at only 12,100 t, with an import value of USD 79.4396 million. Imported wet wipes were mainly disinfecting wet wipes, accounting for 88.98 % of total import volume. - 2026-09

Vinda Officially Launches "E3+ Order Collaboration Platform" Project with Baison Software The kickoff meeting for the "E3+ Order Collaboration Platform" co-developed by Vinda and Baison Software was successfully held on June 29.
