Nanhai District Medical & Hygiene Materials Industrial Cluster (Foshan City, Guangdong Province) Shortlisted as 2026 Characteristic Industrial Cluster for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises of Guangdong Province Recently, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province released the public notice on the proposed list of provincial characteristic industrial clusters for small and medium-sized enterprises in 2026. The Medical & Hygiene Materials Industrial Cluster of Nanhai District, Foshan City has been successfully shortlisted. As a key component of Nanhai District’s "1215" modern industrial system, this industrial cluster gathers enterprises covering the whole industrial chain ranging from PP polypropylene raw materials and nonwoven fabric rolls to baby diapers, adult incontinent products and medical protective supplies. - 2026-07

Pulp and Parent Tissue Roll Prices in Major Regional Markets in April & May 2026 According to survey data from Tissue Paper & Disposable Products magazine, in April 2026, among major regional markets, the average prices of bleached bamboo pulp and unbleached bamboo pulp in Sichuan-Chongqing, bleached softwood pulp in Hebei and bleached bagasse wet pulp in Guangxi all decreased. The average price of bleached eucalyptus wet pulp in Guangxi went up. The average parent tissue roll prices in Guangxi and Sichuan-Chongqing fell from the previous month, among which the parent tissue roll made from bleached bamboo pulp in Sichuan-Chongqing dropped by RMB 245 per ton. The average price of bleached wood pulp parent tissue roll in Hebei rose by RMB 35 per ton month-on-month. In May 2026, for major regional markets, the average prices of bleached hardwood pulp and bleached softwood pulp in Hebei as well as bleached bamboo pulp in Sichuan-Chongqing posted slight month-on-month declines, and the average price of bleached bagasse wet pulp in Guangxi decreased by RMB 247.5 per ton. The average prices of bleached hardwood pulp and bleached eucalyptus wet pulp in Guangxi and unbleached bamboo pulp in Sichuan-Chongqing stayed the same as the previous month. The average price of unbleached bamboo pulp parent tissue roll in Sichuan-Chongqing remained flat month-on-month. The average price of bleached wood pulp parent tissue roll in Hebei increased by RMB 40 per ton compared with last month. The average parent tissue roll prices in all other major regional markets declined, and the average price of bleached bagasse pulp parent tissue roll in Guangxi dropped by RMB 337.5 per ton. - 2026-07

China’s Import & Export of Tissue and Hygiene Products in Q1 2026 In the first quarter of 2026, China’s exports of tissue paper rose year-on-year. Imports also edged up but remained at a low volume. Exports of Chinese absorbent hygiene products have maintained steady growth for years, whereas imports have kept declining. Total exports of absorbent hygiene products vastly outpaced total imports in Q1 2026. Meanwhile, China’s wet wipe exports grew year-on-year while imports fell over the same period, with export volumes substantially exceeding import volumes. - 2026-06

Public Notice on EIA for Yunnan Investment Forestry and Pulp’s 760,000 tpy Chemical Pulp Technical Renovation and Expansion Project On May 14, Yunnan Investment Forestry and Pulp Co., Ltd. issued the second public notice on the environmental impact assessment (EIA) for its technical renovation and expansion project of 760,000 tpy chemical pulp. Adopting the mode of developing new facilities to upgrade existing ones, the project targets the green, low-carbon and intelligent transformation of the integrated forest-pulp-paper industry. A new 500,000 tpy chemical pulp production line will be built based on the existing lines, bringing the total designed capacity to 760,000 tpy. - 2026-06

Sichuan Dazhou Releases Dazhou Paper Industry Development Plan, Tissue Paper Capacity to Reach 700,000 tpy by 2029 Recently, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province issued the Dazhou Paper Industry Development Plan (Revised) (2025—2029), which proposes that by 2029, the city’s total bamboo pulp paper capacity will be significantly increased. Specifically, bamboo pulp capacity will reach 618,000 tpy, parent tissue roll and finished tissue paper capacity will each reach 700,000 tpy, and bamboo fiber capacity will reach 30,000 tpy. The planning covers the period from 2025 to 2029. The plan is divided into two phases: the first phase covers 2025 to 2027, and the second phase covers 2028 to 2029.
