China’s Import & Export of Tissue and Hygiene Products in Q1 2026

In the first quarter of 2026, China’s exports of tissue paper rose year-on-year. Imports also edged up but remained at a low volume. Exports of Chinese absorbent hygiene products have maintained steady growth for years, whereas imports have kept declining. Total exports of absorbent hygiene products vastly outpaced total imports in Q1 2026. Meanwhile, China’s wet wipe exports grew year-on-year while imports fell over the same period, with export volumes substantially exceeding import volumes.
