China releases the Encouraged Industries Catalogue for Western Regions (2025 Edition)

To promote a new framework for the large-scale development of western China, foster the growth of distinctive and advantageous industries, develop emerging industries tailored to local conditions, and accelerate industrial transformation and upgrading, the Encouraged Industries Catalogue for Western Regions (2025 Edition) was approved after deliberation at the 17th Plenum of Communist Party of China Central Committee on October 12, 2024, and subsequently approved and released by the State Council. The catalogue will take effect on January 1, 2025, replacing the Encouraged Industries Catalogue for Western Regions (2020 Edition).
