China’s tissue paper industry adds 1.368 million tons of new production capacity in the first three quarters of 2024—significant increase in the third quarter
According to research compiled by CNHPIA, the industry added approximately 1.368 million tons per year of new, modern tissue production capacity between January and September 2024, involving a total of 57 tissue machines—53 domestically made and 4 imported. Of this new capacity, 428,000 tons per year were added in the first quarter, 265,000 tons per year in the second quarter, and 675,000 tons per year in the third quarter. The third quarter saw a substantial increase in new capacity, up by 410,000 tons per year from the second quarter and approximately 320,000 tons per year year-on-year.

During the implementation of the policy, the households of registered elderly people aged 60 and above in Beijing can enjoy subsidies for the items and materials in the purchase catalogue. Among them, adult diapers and nursing pads are also within the scope of subsidies.
