EIA Public Notice for Guangxi Yusen Biomass Energy Comprehensive Utilization Project

On June 25, the pre-approval public participation environmental impact assessment (EIA) announcement for the Guangxi Yusen Biomass Energy Comprehensive Utilization Project was released. To fully utilize resources and meet the electricity and heat demands generated throughout the paper production of Guangxi Yusen Paper Co., Ltd., the company plans to invest RMB 1.13 billion in constructing three sets of 240 t/h biomass circulating fluidized bed boilers (two for operation, one for standby), matched with two 35 MW generator units. After deducting self-consumption and losses, the project can supply an average of 315.57 tons of steam per hour (peak output: 362.91 t/h) to cover the plant’s steam shortage. The annual power generation capacity will reach 426.8 million kWh. After reserving electricity for self-use, 340.8 million kWh of electricity will be supplied to the full industrial chain project of Guangxi Yusen Paper Co., Ltd.
