Tianjin Bohai Chemical’s Acrylate and 50,000 tpy Superabsorbent Polymer (SAP) Project Will Be Partially Commissioned

On February 25, Tianjin Bohai Chemical Co., Ltd. announced that part of its acrylate and 50,000 tpy superabsorbent polymer (SAP) new material project was officially put into operation on February 24, 2026. Implemented by Tianjin Bohai Petrochemical Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bohai Chemical, the project plans to construct a 160,000 tpy acrylic acid unit, a 30,000 tpy methyl acrylate/ethyl acrylate unit with switchable production, a 160,000 tpy butyl acrylate/2-ethylhexyl acrylate unit with switchable production, a 40,000 tpy glacial acrylic acid unit, a 50,000 tpy superabsorbent polymer (SAP) unit, as well as supporting public and auxiliary facilities.
