CIDPEX: Integrating the Global Industrial Chain, Forging the Annual Benchmark Event for the Tissue Paper and Hygiene Products Industry

The 33rd China International Disposable Paper Expo (CIDPEX2026) was held in the Nanjing International Expo Center on April 13-17, with the FOCUS Tissue & Hygiene Conference on April 13-14 and the exhibition from April 15 to 17. It featured five exhibition pavilions, namely Tissue Paper, Disposable Hygiene Products, Raw Materials, Equipment, and Elderly Care Products, covering the entire upstream and downstream industrial chain of the tissue paper and hygiene products industry.
With a total exhibition area of 100,000 square meters, the event brought together 1,167 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions worldwide and attracted more than 50,000 professional visitors. Among the exhibitors, 43 were overseas companies. The CIDPEX2026 significantly promoted technological innovation and trade cooperation within the industry.
Prior to the Expo, the FOCUS Conference featured 64 high-level keynote speeches and six newly introduced round-table discussion sessions, attracting 736 professional attendees. The Conference served as an open, collaborative, and mutually beneficial platform for in-depth exchange and cooperation among domestic and international enterprises.
The CIDPEX2026 provided a professional one-stop business platform, effectively facilitating precise matchmaking between upstream and downstream partners, fostering trade cooperation, and expanding commercial channels. Exhibitors, visitors, and forum attendees all spoke highly of the event’s overall effectiveness, supporting services, and the value it delivered.
Highlight II: Gathering Buyers from 141 Countries and Regions, Expanding Global Reach and Influence Year by Year
The CIDPEX2026 attracted nearly 6,000 overseas professional buyers from 141 countries and regions, including Pakistan, the Republic of Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Japan, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Russia, and Turkey, who engaged in on-site business negotiations. Representatives from globally renowned industry leaders—including P&G, Kimberly-Clark, Essity, Georgia-Pacific, Unicharm, Hayat Kimya A.Ş., Drylock Technologies, First Quality Enterprises, Saudi Paper Group, Zaimella, Violeta, Nobel Hygiene, OOO Bella, Rockline, and Ontex—were present to conduct in-depth sourcing discussions and align procurement needs.
Before the Expo, the organizer strategically integrated global resources and collaborated with 27 overseas industry media outlets and 11 international industry associations. Through sustained promotion via official channels, including Tissue Paper & Disposable Products magazine, the official WeChat account, and the overseas portal of the “Tissue and Hygiene Products Cloud Service” Platform, as well as major international social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram, combined with ongoing one-on-one targeted invitations and matchmaking services, the organizer effectively reached global buyers, generating unprecedented international attention.
Throughout the CIDPEX2026, bilingual Chinese-English signage and promotional materials were used across the venue, effectively removing information barriers for overseas visitors. As the number of international professional buyers steadily increased, exhibiting companies were staffed with dedicated foreign-language service personnel, ensuring efficient, seamless communication between domestic and overseas participants and enabling barrier-free interaction throughout the event.
Highlight III: “Overseas Service Ecosystem” Empowered Enterprises to Embrace New Growth Opportunities Worldwide
To meet the dual demand of supporting Chinese enterprises to go global and connecting global buyers with China’s high-quality supply chain, the CIDPEX2026 established a dedicated “Overseas Service Ecosystem” zone. By integrating premium resources from multiple sectors, the zone created an efficient and precise global matchmaking platform for the tissue paper and hygiene products industry. This safeguarded Chinese enterprises in their overseas expansion while providing international buyers with a window into the Chinese market and opportunities to identify potential partners.

China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited and JD Logistics provided global supply chain solutions; entities such as Guangzhou ET-Global and the Liming Chuhai Research Institute delivered expertise in overseas marketing and localized operations; Smart Pay and Tenace International addressed cross-border payment compliance challenges; international media platforms such as Trade Wheel and Nonwovens Industry offered brand exposure and promotional support.
Highlight IV: 37 Parallel Forums Addressing Key Industry Challenges and Exploring Emerging Trends from Multiple Dimensions
A total of 37 thematic presentations were held concurrently during the Expo, precisely targeting pain points and emerging growth opportunities in the industry.
● The “Overseas Expansion Development Conference” brought together industry experts, cross-border platform leaders, and enterprises with successful overseas expansion experience. Focusing on practical application scenarios, the conference explored new opportunities in cross-border markets.
● The “E-commerce Platform” Forum had leading e-commerce platforms on site, such as Tmall, JD.com, Taobao and Tmall Group, Xiaohongshu (RedNote), and ByteDance (TikTok). These platforms provided in-depth analysis of tissue paper and hygiene products industry trends, platform strategies, and operational approaches, empowering enterprises to expand their online traffic and digital presence.
● The “Debut Economy” Forum focused on the launch of innovative achievements, leveraging new products and fresh growth drivers to accelerate industrial upgrading and transformation.
● The “Elderly Care Industry” Forum focused on technological advancements for aging populations, innovative elderly care models, and smart elderly care development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, clarifying the future development path of the elderly care sector.
● The AI Forum addressed practical applications such as AI-enabled organizational transformation and industrial implementation, injecting intelligent innovation into the tissue paper and hygiene products industry.
● The Science Popularization Forum, grounded in professional and scientific perspectives, focused on two major topics—menstrual health and emerging consumer trends in the adult incontinence care market—promoting scientifically informed care concepts through expert knowledge.
These 37 high-quality forums brought together leading insights, fostered industry consensus, and empowered the entire value chain to seize emerging opportunities and move forward together toward new growth horizons.
Highlight V: The Upgraded Elderly Care Products Pavilion Delivers Comprehensive, Full-Scenario Elderly Care Solutions
The CIDPEX2026 presented a comprehensively upgraded Elderly Care Products Pavilion, bringing together 36 enterprises and industry associations from the elderly care sector to showcase cutting-edge achievements and the diverse vitality of the industry. A full-stack robot solutions portfolio and AI elderly care robots were unveiled on site, demonstrating the in-depth application of intelligent robotics in elderly care scenarios. Also on display were brain-computer interface devices for insomnia treatment, smart sleep pillows, mugwort-based wellness products, cleansing soaps, functional facial masks, and anti-slip protective products. A dedicated display wall for the “Promotion Catalog of Products for the Elderly” featured a wide range of adult incontinence products. Through the coordinated presentation of multiple product categories, the pavilion established a comprehensive, full-scenario elderly care solution integrating assisted care, daily nursing, and quality-of-life enhancement.
Highlight VI: AI + Expo, Digitalization Empowering Exhibition Services
The CIDPEX2026 fully embraced the digital transformation wave, actively integrating AI technologies to drive the dual upgrading of both the expo itself and the industry. A new “Find Products, Locate Exhibitors” function was launched, enabling users to quickly identify target companies and products by entering keywords with a single click. In addition, AI technology experts were invited to deliver presentations at the FOCUS Conference and during the exhibition, concentrating on the practical application of AI in the tissue paper and hygiene products sectors. These sessions provided fresh inspiration and technical references for the industry’s digital and intelligent transformation.
Leveraging the Tissue Paper & Hygiene Products Cloud Service Digital Platform, the Expo continued to deepen the integration of digital services with on-site exhibition scenarios. To date, the platform has accumulated 304,000 registered users. During the CIDPEX2026, the International Forum Service System (AI Open Mic) recorded over 6,000 uses; the Exhibitor Service System exceeded 60,000 uses; the Visitor Registration System was used more than 110,000 times; the Exhibitor and Booth Search Function was accessed by over 26,000 users; more than 10,000 users downloaded or viewed the proceedings. The upgraded comprehensive and integrated digital services effectively simplified the processes of exhibiting, visiting, and participating, enabling exhibitors and attendees to conduct business negotiations and resource matchmaking with greater efficiency, while comprehensively enhancing the overall exhibition and conference experience.
Highlight VII: Upholding Green and Low-Carbon Principles, Expanding the Adoption of Eco-Friendly Booth Construction
The CIDPEX2026 continued to advance green exhibition practices by promoting low-carbon booth solutions, including turnkey move-in options, customized modular systems, and the use of recyclable materials. The application area of eco-friendly construction for custom-built booths reached nearly 10,000 square meters, with expanded green booth solutions coverage. These efforts set a practical benchmark for the Expo’s green and low-carbon transformation.
FOCUS Tissue & Hygiene Conference: Deepening Expertise in Specialized Segments, Connecting Global Resources, and Empowering High-Quality Industry Development through Multifaceted Innovation
Highlight I: Focusing on Specialized Segments, Gaining Insight into Industry Hotspots, and Leading Market Trends
Market and Marketing Session: focusing on brand marketing, market insights, and “going global” strategies. Topics covered brand growth, transformation in modern retail channels, and digitalization of instant retail. The forum also explored cross-border expansion in depth, analyzing market insights, regulatory requirements, and consumer preferences in Turkey, Brazil, China, the Middle East, and other countries and regions. In collaboration with leading e-commerce platforms such as Tmall, Shopee, and Trendyol, as well as overseas expansion service providers, the forum supported enterprises in strengthening brand building and expanding into international markets.
Wipes Conference: Addressed four key industry topics from a global perspective—market opportunities and supply chain resilience, flushability and biodegradability, innovative processes and functional material solutions, and raw material and formulation safety. The conference helped enterprises capture market opportunities and promoted the sustainable and high-quality development of the wipes industry.
Disposable Hygiene Products Session: Focused on product safety, regulatory analysis, market dynamics, new materials and technologies, and AI applications. This session provided an in-depth analysis of the overall landscape of China’s hygiene products industry and the adult incontinence market in Japan. It explored best practices in product safety and transparency, examined how European companies build consumer trust systems, and interpreted the latest standards and regulatory requirements in Europe and North America. In addition, it offered forward-looking perspectives on the application and prospects of new materials, emerging technologies, and AI in the hygiene products sector.
Tissue Paper Session: Concentrated on the latest developments and consumer trends in China and the global tissue paper market, the supply and demand dynamics of fiber raw materials, intelligent manufacturing applications within the tissue paper industry, overseas market practices for high-end products such as TAD tissue, as well as trends and quality enhancement in moisturizing tissue products—driving the high-quality development of the tissue industry.

Venue services were comprehensively upgraded, with clear and prominent signage and a clean, well-organized environment, significantly improving the overall conference experience.

Supporting services were available continuously from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. From a refreshing cup of morning coffee, to a premium buffet lunch, to an authentic Kung Fu tea experience and a cocktail bar in the evening— all these were offered to ensure that delegates could engage in business discussions and explore cooperation opportunities in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. At the interactive check-in area, participants could scan a QR code to follow CIDPEX’s official social media accounts and receive a beautifully customized refrigerator magnet as a commemorative keepsake of their attendance.

A dedicated Tableshow exhibition area was introduced on site, adopting a “one tableshow for one company” format to create precise and efficient communication scenarios. Eighteen renowned enterprises and industry organizations from Finland, Singapore, Australia, the Netherlands, Turkey, and other countries and regions participated in the Tableshow. Industry players across the upstream and downstream value chain, including UPM Pulp, Asia Symbol, TotalEnergies Corbion, and Valui Healthcare, presented their latest products and technologies. Besides, cross-border e-commerce platforms such as Trendyol and Shopee, along with international organizations including the TIC Council and the China-Africa Business Council, actively engaged in the event, providing multidimensional industry exchange opportunities for global expansion.
Highlight IV: Exploring New Overseas Opportunities with Extensive and In-Depth International Exchanges
The conference attracted 21 overseas speakers and nearly 80 attendees from overseas markets, as well as Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan of China.
Keynote presentations brought together industry associations and leading enterprises from multiple countries and regions, including the Japan Hygiene Products Industry Association (JHPIA), European Disposables and Nonwovens Association (EDANA), the Association of the nonwovens Industry (INDA), the China-Africa Business Council, the RCEP Industry Cooperation Committee, and the Center for Baby and Adult Hygiene Products, along with multinational corporations such as Kimberly-Clark, Procter & Gamble (P&G), Rockline, and Hayat.
Focusing on global markets, participants engaged in an in-depth discussion of regional consumption characteristics, regulatory and compliance requirements, industrial chain collaboration, and overseas investment opportunities. The speakers shared cutting-edge insights and explored development pathways, helping enterprises accurately grasp international market trends, deepen cross-border collaboration, and empower high-quality industry development.
Global delegates engaged in in-depth exchanges on industry hotspots, development challenges, and future uncertainties, jointly formulating response strategies and advancing international cooperation toward a broader scope and deeper dimensions.
